PTMA – Personal Transnational Mobility Assistant

PTMA (Personal Transnational Mobility Assistant) is an Erasmus+ KA220 Strategic Partnership project, designed to address the drop in transnational mobility opportunities for learners, especially low-skilled VET trainees, in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Built using Flutter, the PTMA mobile app equips users with essential tools and confidence to safely engage in physical or hybrid international mobility programs. The app was developed with a mobile-first approach, taking into account that the majority of youth aged 16-24 already own smartphones.

The app includes features such as:
  • Customisable learning scenarios & mobility guides
  • Access to documents, training modules & checklists
  • One-touch messaging with pre-defined contacts
  • A pedagogical guide for educators

The PTMA results are fully digital, open-source, multilingual (available in 8 languages), and cross-sector adaptable. A pilot study was conducted with 48 learners and 16 educators across 8 countries to test and validate the outcomes.

The application is available on:
With PTMA, learners can confidently explore international mobility opportunities, while organizations benefit from structured support, inclusive access, and improved readiness for future challenges.
